He also wrote an amazing book, Cartooning: Philosophy and Practice, which reads like a syllibus for the greatest class on cartooning that you've never taken. For three days in May of 2012, seventeen cartoonists gathered at the University of Chicago to discuss the philosophy and practice of comics. Meanwhile, Hoh!, a book of his one-panel gags, will be published next spring.
